What do the question marks mean?

I just went on Madden 12 to see what the franchise mode is like, and I saw the rankings for the rookies had a ? next to them. Adrian Clayborn and Da'Quan Bowers both had 99?. Does that mean they can reach 99 if they play well enough?|||i dont know for sure but i believe its because you dont know until you either scout them or usse them|||Question marks mean you don't know their overall rating. This is only during the preseason and scouting. By the end of the preseason the true rating will be revealed|||Its the current OVR skill based on revealed stats.
For example, supposed the plaer has 4 stats total(even though its like 25 or something.) You know that 4 of those stats are 99,98,97, which averages out to 98... In the OVR you will see "98?" Which means as of right now, their OVR but you still yet to uncover their final stat. If their final revealed stat is a 6, then in reality the player is 75.

Do they show a player's DNF% in MUT12 now or no?

A word to the wise about tornaments

In short, don't play in them.
I won 5 games in a row, but after the 5th win (which was an opponent disconnect that I still got the win for) it reset my tornament. I immediately entered the tornament but then quit so that I could see what the total prize was (since you can't see it when you are in the tornament). I then entered again and won a game. Its now deducting 40% from my payout because it says this is my third time in the tornament. I'm 6-0 in this stupid thing and its payign be 300 coins a game which is about 700 less than I can get for a random game. Why would anyone ever do this? The pointless penny pinching in MUT really makes me angry some times.|||SMe thing has happened to me twice. I'm 11-1 but I've entered all 3 tourneys twice and have never quit. The payouts for the later rounds are ridiculous anyways. Round 3 is still only like 1k. So pissed.

in last week i have noticed some people with a bundle of rare gt's and really never play games that drives me krazy!!!!! im talking under 30 head to head games |||I hate that too. Donny shold give us ALL the option to create a card, but its exclusive to the owner and cannot be traded or auctioned.|||Well what I suggested in UT 10 was that the ppl who actually play more games should have increased odds on pulling good cards because its screwed up that ppl who dont even play the game can pull all the best cards.|||i agree with deck on that one, cuz so many people whorde all the gtickets and half of them dont even play h2h games

MUT12 Concerns

As much as everyone here likes bashing looman and donny and the rest of the gang by using as many slurs as they can without getting the post removed...I'll refrain from that approach, even though I am very upset.
It's a simple fact guys...most of your fans understand when problems arise, things happen, life kicks ya in the rear, whatever the case may be, but the thing that fans don't ever understand is being kept in the dark.
You could make 100 mistakes this year with ultimate team, but if someone...anyone...just took a second out of their day to post a quick message on here with a small update, or tweet a small something...people would for the most part, be okay.
All we want to know guys is what's going on. What's planned? Are there supposed to be more collections and something happened you are trying to fix? Or is the plan this year to release only a few collections at a time? Personally, I won't be playing if thats the case, but it'd be nice to know.
Just let us know what's going on, that's all most of the adult fans on this forum ask. No mature adult is going to get mad at you guys for making a mistake, the kids may flame you, but who cares about them...we all know by now who they are and I know I just skip over their posts anyway.

What does the football season have to do with MUT? Unless you mean they just want to run off a big % of their customers this year due to a bare bone UT, so then they only have to cater to a smaller number. Cause at this point what they need to do, isnt something that requires the season to start. IE full team collections.|||I would love just an explanation. Like hey sorry there are like only a few collections to start, We plan to have have x amount of collections done by this date. The start of the NFL season has nothing to do with the game. the guy who runs MUT is MIA. He's posted like two things on his twitter and nothing since Launch. I'm a business man and to run a company customers come first. And right now I see very little communication from Ea to try and make us informed. Yes Madden 12 is a great game. MUT 12 right now is not. I love the Legend packs idea. It was funny because I bought one pack just hopping to get Dan Marino. Best player I got was a 91 LB. I bought a Gold Premium pack with coins and got better cards from that.

Why not have separate games for people who don't just buy their team with real money and those working to build by playing games and buying packs?

Noob Needing Some Tips

OK so I've been playing MUT since '10, but never really that seriously. Now I'm 19-1 this year playing legit and wanting to really get serious with my team. But what I don't understand is how people are trading their rare cards for a trade and like 500,000 coins when the auction house doesn't allow that big of posts... What is the workaround to this?? And, secondly, how does somebody get that much coin in the first place, without paying real money for them of course? I know this may be a couple of obvious questions, but thanks to whoever can help me out!|||Say I had Revis and you wanted to buy him for 100k. We would have to work out a deal that would involve you buying other cards from me till we reached 100k. Then I would offer Revis on a card in your trade block, or the other way around.|||Thanks man...sounds like an easy way to get screwed though if you're the ony doing the purchasing.

No you can have 0 game on contract and move to collection. I usually play them out early in the year when on work for coins. once i work my bank to about 500k by that time a have good team and no need to change lineup so i just move guys into collection with out playing.
PS i have 300k in coin and had 5Mil in MUT11 with out spending a penny in MSPoints. it can be done but you have to take your time and sell you rare card you get early in the year. No worries you will be able to buy that rare card later when your coins are high.|||

It's stupid to make their contracts go all the way down to 0 if you're going to send them to pending collection.
They won't be worth as much with 0 contracts opposed to 10.

I downloaded the online pass the first day it came out and have been playing online ever since. It says I have already purchased and can download it again but when I do download it again, it doesn't work. What's the deal here?

Collections:
The game will ship with approximately 50 on the disc, and they are of a similar ilk as last year, such as collecting all the cards of one team, all the AFC hed coaches, etc. However, to reflect the expanded rosters in the game, each team collection will now feature 45-50 players. Of course, there are also new reward cards given upon the completion of each collection. EA Tiburon will also continue to make new collections available post-launch.

I wonder if they didnt finish the collections or if theyre holding them back on purpose to try and slow people down, so they dont get good teams too quick. If its the second one, then they completely failed at it with all the legends lol.

That does seem to hint at them running out of time. Perhaps the panthers and the bengals have the least amount of "collectable" players (no offense fans & locals) so theyre the smallest 2? and thats why they came first?|||well they have to add players to their respective collections as well like dalton and greene for the bengals and cam newton for the panthers. and really if there is any info on when the collections will be released please tell me im really pissed about the 7 collections right now its just stupid

Incomplete tournament games?

Every time I win a tournament game, it doesn't give me any coins, and it says "incomplete game-0 coins". It still advances me to the next round, but it doesn't give me the coins. Anyone have this problem?|||same for me. are you doing goldcard tourney?

Then it dawned on me, I wonder if there's some secret that I don't know about that your opponent can disconnect you and make you loose. This is complete BS and I'm through with H2H for a bit.|||It's good to go out and see the sun once in a while |||^ Tool.

There are little to none of the following cards in circulation that are needed to complete collections.
Jack Del Rio - None(needed for coach collection)
CJ Spiller - Less than 5(needed for offensive rookie collection)
Raider Stadium - None(Needed for Natural Stadiums Collection)
Chiefs Stadium - Less than 5(Needed for Natural Stadiums Collection)
All of these cards are 75 or below rated and should not be that hard to find....

Is it just me or are the contract cards just messed up? I looked at the daily deals section and saw the 3 types of contract cards and they did not seem to increase the cards consistently. Like the Bronze increases a Legendary by more than a Silver or something like that. Am I insane or did anyone else see that too?

|||I'm only saving a select few cards that i haven't seen many of like Tebow, Bush, Hasselbeck, and Oher.|||im storing my cards in a treasure chest|||I loaded up a few accounts I played MUT 11 on. I'm using my Trade Block and Auction Block to hold a total of 20 extra players (when needed), and I'm trading any 90+'s to a 2nd Account for storage, and also moving any dupes I get to finish off the collections a 2nd time. Im not in the mood to do any more than 2 right now, so anything else just gets put up for 10k. I'm sure people are loading up 4, 5, 6, and even more teams just stacking up. But that's a bit much especially this early in the game.
Eventually I might have 3 or 4 teams filled just to hold cards, for now one is good enough. It's the only way to really avoid discarding whole packs, and at the same time you can just re-do collection on the 2nd account and earn more coins slowly but surely. It also makes it so you can discard the collection rewards you don't want to use on your main account to free up roster space (if u bought the HOF edition then the barry is pointless from the stadium collection) but still have them on a 2nd account to complete any future collections that might come out requiring you to collect those reward cards.|||

Hey thanks for the vote of confidence! But seriously, you have to use separate gamertags for additional teams. If it's like it was last year the limit is 5 per Xbox. Each gamertag must be Live either silver or gold...you only need gold to play online so it's not necessary for an account to store cards.
Protip: once you have your extra account. Sign into your main on your first controller and the secondary on the next controller...you can then easily swap between the teams for quick trading.

Predicting the Next Collections

I'm very happy there's more collections now and a reason to buy packs, but in the back of my mind, I'm always afraid of discarding cards who may be in next week's collection. I never played the old MUT's so I don't really know what to expect, so what are some possible collections and players we can see in the next week or two?
Here's a few I think may be coming up soon:
Miami: Frank Gore, Ray Lewis, DJ Williams, Andre Johnson, Ed Reed, Antrel Rolle. Reward- Ray Lewis
Florida: Tebow, Pouncey, Percy Harvin, Aaron Hernandez. Reward- Tebow
Virginia Tech: Vick, Brandon Flowers, DeAngelo Hall, Eddie Royal. Reward- Vick
USC: Polamalu, Bush (is he even in this game?), Clay Matthews, Carson Palmer, Mark Sanchez, Sam Baker, Terrell Thomas. Reward- Polamalu.
Also, maybe the rest of the NFC teams, which is why I'm afraid to discard anything there. I HOPE so. I have so many jersey's and playbooks that I don't want to discard because I know those collections will end up coming soon hopefully. I thought the same thing......but it was no fun waiting.....finally said F' it this weekend and began discarding like crazy.
There's at least enough collections to get away with it at this point.....mostly since packs are cheaper and so much better this year. You end up getting packs for 1-2k without even trying to sell any coaches/stadiums or dups.
I'm not worried too much at this point about the cards I'm tossing.....since you get so much more for the coins this year.....you'll stumble back upon them sooner or later.

13 cards: Barry, Jerry, Rod and Marshall have same/similar stats to their legend cards, but NO BOOSTS. Troy P card is exactly the same as current gold Troy card.
These however are unique. Note: They cannot be traded, but it does show value, so they may be tradeable in the future? Also, some of these cards are not 99(as per depth chart)

99 TRUCKING AND CARRY makes him an ideal choice for short carries as those stats beat 99 Dickerson as well.

Well,it wasnt a message first of all, second it was not irrelevant . If this were considered bumping, atleast its for a good cause. Not like im trying to sell one of my ap cards and keep posting bump every 2 minutes. But its not bumping in anyway.

What Do I Do With All My Cards?!?

I am trying to hold onto cards for anticipated collections (team collections, uniforms, playbooks, etc), but with so few collections at this point in the game, what do I do with all the cards I am getting? I have run out of room.
My choices at this point are:
a) Throw away cards that I know I will need, which will be counterproductive.
b) Transfer cards to another account, which will be time consuming and annoying.
c) Stop playing MUT until they release more collections.
Any ideas of thoughts?
|||i've been selling/discarding my uniforms/playbooks, and keeping any gold cards i get, selling the dupes, you can always go back and rebuy the collection cards after you sell a couple of gold cards to get the lower cards you need

MUT 11 Servers been screwed up all week?

I haven't been connecting to EA servers for about a week or so now each time I sign on. It's not a huge issue for me cuz I only play franchise @ the moment, but I can't even pop onto ultimate team @ all if I wanted too.
up until today resetting my modem and router worked fine, but all of a sudden half my friends list is on MUT and I can't connect to the servers.
any mods have any idea's as to why this is happening? I haven't changed anything about my network settings or done anything to my router/modem so It has to be something on EA's end.
anyone having these issue's and or find a way to fix it?

depends will you be opening any legendary packs because if you open 17 or 18 over the next year you will basically get your money back and on top of that every pack you open is 20% off combined with the 3 days early I think that the type of deal it is depends on what type of player you are. If you plan on spending msp on leg packs this is for you, if not this would only be for you if you plan on opening ALOT of ultimate packs or just really want to play the game 3 days early|||

I prefer Vince Young. If we was just a bit more accurate, he'd be a perfect QB for me.|||Tried them and like Mcnabb the best. I like the Marino legend too but i like a qb with some mobility. I bought a $50 PSN so I could buy some Leg. Packs and stuff... but I'm sitting on 55 Player cards, and have my pending collection with a bunch of HOF cards I can't do anythinng with... I can't speak for everyone else... but as full as my team/pending/trading/auctions are... I'm sure other people are in the same boat... I have everyting filled up.... things in the Auctions that I know won't sell for max... cards I want to hold onto on the trade block, and pending full.. Would be alot easier if I didn't have 6 HOF cards in my pending collections... but this year I refuse to delete those HOF cards I'm not using... did that last year with the doritos cards, and a few months later, they came out with a collection... Just threw my second interception to an invisible player. I thought my tight end was alone on a break away, threw the ball, then saw an ivisible player pick the ball and run it back. He never appeared on the screen, even after he had the ball

PLZ tell me if this is the wrong forum for this and move it if its in the wrong forum.

1st and foremost fix glitches and servers, (my servers still a lil buggy)
2nd Better collection awards, both in coin amounts and in Cards as well as the variety of positions, I.E about half of the cards are HB's and to be totally honest (i have all the hb's and qb's i need after getting the HOF edition.) The ones that were released recently were kind of a let down I believe that u can reach back and find a better DT than N. Suh or give him the 99 rank he deserves. . And everyone i believe understands that (for most collections) u should be able to make a profit.
3rd fix card values. I do not understand why Ap cost the same as Jahvid Best, I believe value should be based on ranking and tier, not just tier and plz make starter pack cards sell-able and trade-able, I believe that it is silly that we can't trade or sell those.
4th and defo least, please introduce more legends and at least one legend per position. I believe that O-linemen are shafted way too often in this game as well as FB's.

HOF cards Collection (after they can be sold/traded o' course)-reward 750k-1,000,000 coins and playoff "the catch" dwight clark, HOF Bob *. Clair LT, and Chuck Bednarik specialty who can play both sides of the ball

1st round rookies -reward 500k and rookie
2nd round rookies- reward 500k and rookie
late round rookies- reward 300k and rookie
leg stadiums- reward 300k
and uniforms, stadiums (with open stadiums as a separate collection), legendary stadiums, and a t.c collection with a 4 mil coin award and a Terry Bradshaw, joe montana or Joe Namath pro bowl award with all 100 rating >
and pretty much collections that AT least compensate for coins spent to finish them.
But other than the few things I would like to wish EA a job well done on Madden this year and look forward to a fun filled year of Madden, (whether or not I can afford to play MUT lol) and that most of the problems came from people who wanted what doesn't need fixing from MUT 11 to be fixed in 12 which resulted in the majority of the community becoming upset with some of the changes, and the new director of Ultimate Team needs to realize that its impossible to make EVERYONE happy, but that's okay so long as the majority of people are as well as his boss(es). And I believe that everyone needs to understand that EA is a business and a business' goal is to make $$$ so please quit whining about legendary packs. I personally will keep playing Ultimate Team at least until Xmas time because if the problems above aren't fixed by then they're not getting fixed because the content producers don't see any problems with it in which case I believe there should be a problem.

mut ratings issues and a glitch in tournaments

i dunno if anyone has brought this up yet sorry if they have.
several cards are marked as things they are not... or are and arent showing up in the rosters, example steven jackson is labeled a 99 on his card but stick him in the lineup and he is a 94 all the panini hof cards are 99 but several indicate otherwise when placed in the lineup rod woodson and ray lewis two i can name off the top of my head i know there are more in this pack like that and several others in the game from what i hear.
in tournaments when you go to the match making screen if someone backs out your screen will on occasion flash and then you are unable to open up the tournaments main board it shows up blank with just the 30 yard line background in it....
also can we please get a panini hall of fame card collection for those of use that purchased this edition? other than that and the other things people have already mention (not enough collections being biggest issue) you guys have done a fantastic job i love the trade feature and look forward to you building on it as donny said you guys would.

ATM these collections arent profitable because two coaches seem to be non existant and when ever one pops up people want an arm and a leg for it. They will more than likely be released with much boosted odds soon(at least i hope). The game has been out for a few days now and the there are much fewer people buying the coaches and stadiums like they were early on so the process will be much slower should you have started at the day of release. Once you get up around 20k, buy some premium golds and keep any cards that youd like to use, and come on here to see if any of them are worth selling. A premium gold pack sells for 9k. If you pull nothing special you can discard everything for 5k and post the coach that comes in the pack for 3k. Early on you could bank on someone buying your coach and youd make almost all your coins back and you could just keep ripping packs over and over again until you pull stuff worth selling/using. that's what I was telling my friend, in FUT they just tax the sale there are no posting fees, that is one of the dumbest things here in my opinion. |||example: I just pulled julius peppers. ed reed is more rare, but the posting fee on reed is 10k where its 1k on peppers. peppers will sell for 15k where reed will sell for about 25k. 30k at best. which makes sense that hed sell for more being he is the better card. but with the posting fee youll make the same amount of profit as the peppers. and thats a seriously flawed system.|||oh p.s the card doesnt sell, too bad ea keeps your posting fee.

Before you do, realize the collections are weak and rewards except for maybe Elite Ngata or DROY Suh aren't worth the time. Just to give you an idea how good you can be quickly, I started Wednesday night and now have a 98 overall team.
The packs are as follows:
Leg Packs: MSP only (560)
Gold Premiums: 9k (I got two 99 Gates, AP, CJ, Manning & Andre are my most notable)
Golds: 6k
Silver: 3k
Bronzes: 1k

The funny thing is how last year we complained because no one could get good cards or complete packs. So now in their infinite wisdom they have decided to make it easy to get the really good cards. Complaining about there not being enough good RTs is dumb. There simply aren't that many great RTs in the league, because the best tackles get put at LT to protect their QBs blindside. Every HOF quality tackle from the last probably 20 years is a LT.

How many times do you throw a great over the shoulder pass, then see a DB pick it off going the opposite direction and jumping 7-9ft?
Then the next time you do it, you try to user catch...same thing. WRs can't attack the ball without strafe. Little kids had fits in madden 08 I believe and now it's out of the game...BS man, if you've ever watched an NFL game you'll see WR's attack the ball and strafe...Just my two cents.|||Like Jerry Rice won't do * unless the DB is behind him. Its impossible to do that while running at full speed. LBs straife in real life. WRs going full speed cant stop on a dime turn around leap in the air and super catch the ball all within 1 second.
Madden 11 had an extremely unrealistic passing attack. Even the producers of the game recognized that.|||

I feel the same way about Barry Sanders he does not play like a 99 imhu just saying any player touches him he goes down way easier than my Addai gold card that's pretty bad. Last game Sanders had 7 rushes for 19 yards and then I subbed addai nothing different just second half of game he finished with 10 carries 71 yards.

i with the collection reward Barry Sander (dont know if there is a difference) i am blowing people outta the water....use him as if you would use someone like chris johnson....he is best on draw plays and if you can get on the outside he is so fast and elusive

Mut12 is way worse than both mut10 and mut11 hands down. First off ea has the guy who does the ratings for players in charge of making a game mode. Are you kidding me? And Josh Looman literally fell off the face of the earth, and this so called new guy doesnt even exist most likely. So thats 3 guys working on this mode. You would think that EA would hire more people to make a game that is actually playable. I almost think that all the creators of FUT and NHL UT are in one normal room, while those three guys who make MUT are in a room with a gas leak. And what idiot thought of 1-1 trades? so that means the rarest card in the game cant be traded because theres no cards of equal value. It's just hilarious of what MUT has become.|||if you dont like it dont play it.
